So I started playing Super Robot Wars. Easily the best crossover games i've played and my favorite Strategy RPG games. You get the chance to see different mecha series from different forms of media in Japan. Mostly anime but some novels and even figure lines have gotten into these games. Even one shot movies have had chances to shine here. (Some of my favorites mechs in general are Geter Robo and GaoGaiGar. So seeing them together in battle is great for me.) I love how these games go out of their way to fix worse aspects of some of the represented series or even give reason for change. Some characters don't need to die due to the presence of other heroes helping save the day from aliens, space fascists, demons, "angels", or even good ole giant monsters. And like Kingdom Hearts, these games give you original character for the protagonist role of the games.
